The Saguaro Strutters is a group of adults who perform a type of dance called Line Dancing. (For more information on the history of line dancing, click here.) The founder of the Saguaro Strutters is Claudia Madden, she was a dance instructor for Tucson Parks and Recreation for many years.

The current team has been together for approximately eleven years. The dance team is made up of men and women from all walks of life who have in common their love of dance.

The Saguaro Strutters continue to perform for public and private functions throughout Tucson and surrounding areas, including many charitable events, nursing and long term care facilities, church bazaars, county and state fairs as well as various private functions.

The group dances to many types of music, but prefers country-western. Performances often include audience participation and instruction on some simple Line Dances that can be taught quickly and easily. These include the ever popular Electric Slide and Boot Scootin’ Boogie, and others.
